Our Founder
For Women's Health was founded by Maria Lence, an early employee at Booking.com, Expedia, and TripAdvisor, where she helped scale global consumer platforms used by millions.
But Maria didn't come to women's health as an outsider or trend follower. She came as a patient — after 5 years of being dismissed, misdiagnosed, and left to piece together her own care. It took 15 health providers to find the right one.
That personal journey became a turning point. “Why can I book a hotel with the level of detail that I could ever wish for, but I don't have the same tools to find a health provider?”
Because this isn't just her story.
